The Children center MUSIECO project is designed for educational and demonstration exhibition complex. It is structured as a new building construction with gross floor area of 3 443 m2. It integrates two corpuses and consists of two main floor levels and a partial third level. The building has a specific shape in connection of its main purpose - to be an educational and entertainment complex.
The COMMISSIONING PROCESSES and the ENERGY MODEL are encompassing the following base building systems:
HVAC systems
Heating. The hot water for heating is established via ground source heat pump system. The Geothermal system is vertical closed loop. The two water-cooled chillers are heat recovery and they provide both heating and cooling for different building parts. As a reserve to the main heating source, a connection to the central district heating system is established. The heating of the building is provided by radiant floor heating.
Air Conditioning. The cold water for the air conditioning of the building is provided mainly by the water to water heat pump units. Free cooling via separate heat exchanger is also envisaged. Part of the cooling loads are covered by fresh air handling units with built in heat pumps. The cold water from the cooling plant is distributed to the floor cooling system and to fan coil units. In premises where the radiant cooling is insufficient and/or the air flow of the ventilation system does not cover the load, fan coil units cassette type are installed. For the server and the telekom room the air conditioning is provided by direct expansion split system air conditioners.
Ventilation. Separate ventilation systems for the sanitary and technical premises are provided. They are 100% dedicated outdoor air systems.
Domestic hot water system. The DHW system uses the solar energy thermal potential and those of the geothermal plant. It consists of solar collectors and one water tank with two built-in heating coils. The solar system is operating all year round. It is set up to operate after the initial preheating made by the geothermal plant. The reheating is switched on only when the solar fraction is not enough to cover the DHW load and it is provided by the central district heating in winter and by an electrical heater in summer.
Automatic control system. An automatic control system (BMS) is provided for all HVAC and Lighting systems. All system functions are visualized on an operator station of a special PC terminal desktop.
Lighting Installation.
The Lighting installation is organized as follows:
The interior lighting consists of main lighting with self-dimmed lights, standby lighting and emergency lighting. The lighting in the building is controlled by switches, mounted near the doors, by “Push” buttons and by movement sensors. DMX light fittings and spotlights for decorative lighting and dimmable luminaries controlled according DALI protocol are provided.
The external landscape and advertisement lighting are controlled automatically by programmers and manually by switches.
