The RENOVA R&D is a center for research and development for high-qualified high tech businesses purposes. The building is a new construction with two parts of different heights - the northwestern part with five stories, and the southeastern part - on three floors with total gross floor area of 27 403 m2. It includes several functional processing zones: mechanical manufacturing, microelectronics, biochemistry, public places, technical facilities needed for building operation and several technological areas.
The COMMISSIONING PROCESSES and the ENERGY MODEL are encompassing the following base building systems:
HVAC systems.
Heating. The Renova building is connected to the district heating system of the Innovation Center Skolkovo. The heating of the building is provided by four-pipe fan-coil units for the atrium, offices, conference rooms and leased premises and by steel panel radiators for the stairwells, technical premises and storerooms.
Air Conditioning. The cold water for the air conditioning of the building is provided by two air-cooled chillers with capacity 1 067 kW each. The installed air cooled chillers provide water/glycol mixture. The cooling agent is transported to the cooling sections of the AHU units and to the fan coil units. For the data center, BMS, security and el. equipment rooms the air conditioning is provided by direct expansion split system air conditioners.
Ventilation. The mechanical ventilation of the building is established via air handling units with rotary wheels or plate heat exchangers, heating and cooling coils. Separate exhaust ventilation for the sanitary and technical premises is provided.
Domestic hot water system. The hot water for domestic needs is provided by the district heating substation from Innovation Center Skolkovo.
Automatic control system. Building automation system is used for monitoring, regulation and control of the following systems: Heating cooling center; Heating and cooling of office areas; Ventilation of the office areas; Lighting; Energy metering
Lighting Installation.
The interior lighting consists of main lighting with LED, compact fluorescent and fluorescent lighting fixtures, standby lighting and emergency lighting. The interior lighting controls include light/movement sensors for the office spaces and switches for the other zones.
