BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) is one of the world's most popular environmental assessment method and rating system for buildings.
All types of buildings worldwide can be classified according to BREEAM standards.
Standard schemes have been developed for the most common types of buildings such as offices, logistics or industrial complexes, shopping malls etc. The BREEAM Bespoke schemes can instead be used to assess the types of buildings that are defined as "non standard" (such as: Hotels, Governmental residences, Cinemas buildings etc.).
To achieve the BREEAM certification is necessary to evaluate and demonstrate the level of sustainability of the property on the basis of credits obtained within approximately 70 different issues, divided in the following ten categories:
- Health & Wellbeing
- Land Use & Ecology
We at Termoservice are capable of providing a support and facilitation in the process of BREEAM certification. Our proven experience in Energy modeling and Commissioning enabled us to perform the categories: Energy, Management and Health & Wellbeing.
Credits are awarded based on the level of actual performance; the score in the each category is then weighted to reflect the importance of each category. The weighted results are summarized and the final score is awarded with one of the following assessment: Pass, Good , Very Good , Excellent or Outstanding.
Detail of our participation in BREEAM procedures could be seen in “Our Projects”.
